Staff Newsletter - Week of 02/25/19
Thank you for your hard work and preparation for conferences this week. We had lots of parents attend conferences to learn how their children are performing. Remember, you don't have to wait for conference time to talk with parents about their child's progress.
We have a pretty busy week with the PBIS Celebrations, Black History Programs and the Book Character Parade this week. Please review the schedule below.
As you can see from the picture above, Skate Night was a huge success! We had so much fun. The super star skaters are Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Blair!

Mersa Cevic - her father-in-law is on life support.
Shanell Pressley - her father had to go to the hospital. He is doing well.
Sharon Compton - is doing well recovering from surgery.
Judith Walker - her surgery was successful! She is back at work with a sling on her arm.
Kanika Alston - her husband is recovering from emergency surgery.
5 Star Salute (Shout Outs)
Brenda Foster - after 40 years in education, Mrs. Foster has decided to retire at the end of the school year. She will be missed!
Deborah Bridges for getting beautiful flowers donated for the Cluster Principal's Meeting and for brokering our partnership with Zaxby's.
All Pro Dads for providing lunch on Wednesday! Please make sure you send them a note to show them how much we appreciate their support.
Traci Baker for organizing the Soul Food Pot Luck lunch! We have lots of chefs in the building. The food was delicious.
Beth Harmon and Jaimie Head for being more than willing to help cover classrooms due to us being short on substitutes.
Karen Carter for being diligent with calling additional subs when we had subs cancel and a few surprises.
Jennifer Bower for being the first to turn in her early release information.
Mrs. Allen for doing an AWESOME job in the long-term sub position in Sims class. We expect Mrs. Sims to return on Tuesday, 2/26. Mrs. Sims was here for conferences. She and the baby look great!
