Hello Willink Families,
It is starting to feel like spring and I'm happy to be sharing the many Willink events that will be taking place over the next few weeks including our Willink Drama Club Production which opens up tonight. It has been a challenging year but I am very proud of our students, staff, and parents for working together creatively and flexibly to do all that we can to create middle school experiences. More information on each event will be forthcoming but please take a look at the dates below.
May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. I'm sharing some documents that may be helpful for students or other family members with questions or simply as useful information. Please know that our students and families have access to support - not only in school but any time through the use of the safe school helpline as well as 2-1-1. The Safe School Helpline is an anonymous way to share concerns students, staff, or parents may have about a friend's mental health or report any unsafe behavior. Dialing 2-1-1 provides an immediate person to talk to.
I'd also like to share a belated but heartfelt THANK YOU to the Willink PTSA for their efforts and energy recognizing Willink teachers last week. We very much appreciate all you do to support students and staff!
Please also remember that the budget vote is this coming Tuesday, May 18th at the Schroeder High School Gym. Thank you in advance for voting!
Until next week, take care.
-Brian

American Mathematics Competition Exam Update
The American Mathematics Competition Exam results have arrived. Congratulations to Grace Mahoney, Nathan Magaw and Andrew Ophardt who earned the top three spots on the AMC 12 exam for our school and will represent Webster Thomas’ AMC 12 Team score. In addition, Sanjana Baskar, Aiden Penza and Forrest Li (8th Grader) earned the top three spots on the AMC 10 exam for our school and will represent Webster Thomas’ AMC 10 Team score. Thank you to all mathematicians who took the "virtual" challenge to think out of the box mathematically.
