We had an awesome first week of school and I want to give a big thank you to our whole community for working together to make it such a successful opening for our students.
Morning Carline Reminders
Please be reminded that our carline circle is one way and and be sure to enter and exit appropriately. We encourage families to use the carline as that is the safest and most efficient way to get student into the building, however, in the event you need to walk into the building, please park in the parking lot and walk up the sidewalk. Another thing you can do to help expedite morning carline is to ask your child to have their things ready to go as you are approaching the circle, while it may not seem like a bid deal, an additional 20-30 second per car adds a lot of time to the whole process. We appreciate you working with us to be as efficient as possible as our Eagles arrive to start their school day.
Bloomz Messaging
We are still waiting to hear back from Bloomz. I am hoping to have it up and running by the end of the week. Thank you for being patient.
Kindergarten Color Days
At the start of each year our kindergarten students participate in color days and invite the rest of the school to participate as well. Please see the assigned dates and colors, should your child wish to participate.
Friday, July 21st - purple
Monday, July 24th - blue
Tuesday, July 25th - green
Wednesday, July 26th - red
Thursday, July 27th - brown
Friday, July 28th - yellow
A Message From the PTA
PTA Welcome Back Dinner on Thursday:
Our PTA is so excited to be hosting a welcome back hot dog dinner on Thursday, July 27th at 5:30 pm at Easley. Please RSVP and prepay here. Dinner is free with a $7 PTA membership per person. Otherwise, dinner is $4 per adult and $2 per child.
Families who RSVP and prepay by 7 am on July 26th will receive tickets sent home with their child – allowing them to skip the check-in line and go straight to the food. We are encouraging everyone to prepay and RSVP for the smoothest event possible and to make sure we have enough food. We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday!
PTA Membership and Committees
Thanks to all of you who have already joined the PTA. You can still join here. Membership is $7 per person. Membership does not carry over from year to year – so please join again if you were a member last school year.
Please consider also joining a committee if you haven’t already—you can find committee descriptions with links to signups here. Please know that we understand your time is limited and valuable–and our committees will work to divide responsibilities to match the amount of time you are able to give.
