Budget Vote - Tuesday, May 16, 2023

Please be sure to take the time and get out and vote for our annual school budget!

Traffic Update

Please remember when you enter the school zone that it is IMPERATIVE to slow down! Please park in designated areas - upper lot or lower lot, rows 3 & 4. The bus loop is designated for buses ONLY in the AM or for students who have been approved by the health office due to a medical note. In the PM, the bus loop is for busses/vans and curbside ticket holders ONLY. Please do not pick your child up from their designated door. Watch for walkers! Follow the directives from the staff members and school security monitors. If we all work together, we may ensure that everyone will get to and from school safely!

Safety and Security

Please be advised that the building is locked and secured at all times of the day and night. Visitors are permitted on the premises when there are events or if we have volunteer opportunities. Visitors are required to be reviewed by the Raptor system. The Raptor system is an electronic tool that the LCSD purchased to ensure the safety for all stakeholders. As part of our safety plan, visitors traveling through the building are not permitted. Please respect our policies and procedures. They are here to keep your child safe. I do request that there is mutual respect amongst the visitors and staff. We are role models to our children and the professionals here are doing their best to keep your child safe. If you have any questions or concerns as always, please contact me directly.

Parent Requests

I believe it is a partnership between home and school to make the best decision about your child's teacher for next year. If you are so inclined, please send a letter or email to hwalton@lockportschools.net stating the qualities you feel are imperative for your child's success. Please submit all requests prior to May 30th. I will accomodate your requests to the best of my ability. Please understand that classes can change right up to September.
