Dear Carelot Center Families:
Covid 19 or Coronavirus which ever you prefer to call it, is a very scary and real threat to us in the child care industry. We fear for our staff, families, the children we care for and our economic future. As of today, we plan on staying open as long as we are allowed.
We understand that these are difficult times. We have been in communication with Beth Bye, Commissioner at the CT Office of Early Childhood, Lynn Sosa, MD (Assistant Clinical professor of Epidemiology (Microbial Diseases) at Yale, and Susan Bysiewicz, Lt. Governor, Senator Paul Formica and State Representative Kathleen McCarty. We are gathering information daily to best serve our families and community while providing a safe, nurturing and healthy environment for our children. We have been name essential personnel, asked to follow our set policies, provide care for families and to work together to allow our Centers to remain open.
If your child will not be attendance, please follow our Child Call our procedure by calling the center to let us know. We are working hard to provide our staff with the hours they need to also survive during this pandemic.
As we stated in our previous Family Memo, we have applied for loans and assistance, however nothing is guaranteed in these unchartered waters that we all are facing. We are also working on a hardship application who are not being paid or receiving any other type of assistance during this crisis.
We appreciate our families and apologize that we must be so firm with our policies at this time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we move forward. We also thank our dedicated group of employees who are here caring for and teaching our children. We want to be here when this is over for our staff, families and community. For this to happen, we must make decisions for the future of Carelot by coming together.
