Student Celebrations
From Jason Fearon: Drawing II students have just added their newest drawings to the CVU gallery space. Take a moment to look at these large scale still life pieces and read about the inspiration and process behind each one. With all the bones the timing seems just right too!
For advisory snack in Peter Booth’s advisory, Penelope Hohn brought both regular oreos AND lemon oreos which led to the creation of this magical moment:
From Crawford Phillips: The RoboHawks traveled over to the GlobalFoundries campus last week accompanied by the robotics teams from Essex, Burlington, and South Burlington. We explored the facilities and two of their Boston Dynamics Spot robots. These agile robotic dogs navigate the complex infrastructure of the GlobalFoundry’s factory while completing a multitude of missions. The team worked with GF engineers and programmers who work on the robots everyday day. We edited and tested the code and drove the robot ourselves. Looking on to the weekend, the RoboHawks will be headed to TechJam in Burlington. Bringing our robot along with a collection of prototype intake devices to share with the other teams. Although our team will be competing with the other schools, we take these opportunities to share our ideas and help improve all of our designs.
Gibbs W2 Writing Composition: Friday fun root word work! Posing with dictionaries-- and actually using them too!
The CVU Redhawks cybersecurity team competed in round 1 of the CyberPatriot competition yesterday. They got one of their highest scores ever and await to see how we placed against other teams across the US and the world. Pictured are Jack Gourlay, Max Olinsky-Paul, Addison Hoopes, Tabbi Auster, Will Sprigg, and Alex Fox.
