NEW ENGAGEMENT/ATTENDANCE SYSTEM:

In order to consistently review student engagement/attendance across the entire district and state during this closure, we will have a new attendance system in place starting on Monday, April 27, 2020. This is a requirement by both the district and state.

  • Every Monday, by 12:00 pm, teachers will take attendance in Skyward for all students in each of their classes.
  • The attendance taken on Monday is a record of the student’s engagement for the previous week.
  • Students will be marked Present, Tardy or Absent using the following definitions:

    • Present = Fully engaged, participating and turning in work on a consistent basis

    • Tardy- Codes: P-Partial Engagement and EP-Made Contact, No Work

    • ***Participating with some contact, but not turning in any work

    • Absent- Codes: N-Not Engaged and EN-No Contact and No Work .
    • ***No contact/Not turning in any work
  • Students marked with a T or A will have Mrs. Corpuz, and possibly other staff members contact them in order to make sure that the students and their families have everything they need to be successful during this challenging time.

COMMUNITY ZOOM SESSION:

This Thursday, April 30th @ 6:00 PM is our next community zoom session. CLICK THIS LINK TO JOIN about 5 minutes before the meeting!

2020 CENSUS:

ITEMS LEFT AT SCHOOL or ITEMS THAT NEED TO BE RETURNED:

We will send out specific information regarding the exchange of physical items (medicine, iPads, books, locker items, yearbooks, etc) more toward the beginning of June. If your student NEEDS something in order to continue their learning, please contact their advisory teacher and they will set up a plan to pick up the items.

Ms. Jones will be helping us understand how our personal journeys - the good stuff and bad stuff, the success and the failure – are leading us in a direction. By unpacking our stories and facing them, Ms. Jones will challenge us to get a vision for our purpose and passion to help us plan for our future – this summer and beyond.
