Jenelle Duvall - Secondary English Language Arts
I have been teaching in the Weld RE-4 District for fifteen years. My husband is also a teacher, and we have two adult daughters who are graduates of Windsor High School. I am originally from San Diego, California. I earned a volleyball scholarship to attend the University of Pittsburgh, and my undergraduate degree is in English Literature. I completed my master's in Educational Leadership from Colorado State University. When I have the time, I love reading, running, rollerblading, biking, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, and cooking.
Hadley Griffenhagen - Elementary K-2 Writing
I would like to welcome you, your child, and your family to Inspire4 K-12 Online School! I'm excited to be joining your child in such an innovative and connected learning experience!
The 2020-2021 school year will be my twenty-seventh year teaching! I have been in Weld RE-4 for eight years. I have taught pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and second grade. I received my degree from the University of CO at Colorado Springs. I also have a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
Lisa Turk - Elementary K-5 Science & Social Studies
Professional: My name is Lisa Turk, and this will be my 14th year as an elementary teacher. I love learning, and have a passion to instill the love in learning in all of my students. I have a B.S. in Athletic Training from the University of North Dakota, a M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Arizona State University, an endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, and an Endorsement in Gifted Education from the University of Northern Colorado. I worked in the field of Sports Medicine at both Arizona State and the University of Illinois, and taught Sports Medicine classes at both universities for almost 10 years. I have taught grades K-5 in Greeley, Loveland, and at Range View Elementary in Severance.
Personal: My husband Jim, our son Jon (9th grade), and I live in Windsor. We have lived in the awesome state of Colorado since 2005. We love animals, and have 3 dogs, a cat, and a turtle. We foster dogs through an animal rescue as well. I like the outdoors, hiking, camping, photography, reading, and spending time with my family. I am a vegetarian, and love to travel.
Why I teach: Sports Medicine was my passion in high school. While at Arizona State, I met a young man who was a real inspiration to me. He went on to play in the NFL, and gave up a multi-million dollar contract to join the army and do something more important with his life than playing a game. When he was killed in Afghanistan, it challenged me to clarify my mission in life. I wanted to do something that would make a true difference, and felt called into teaching. I love impacting kids' lives, helping them to develop a lifelong passion for learning and following their dreams. I can't wait to help students learn about our world and how to become scientists who search out answers for themselves.
Our Classroom Community: The secret to being successful in my classroom is working hard and not giving up. My favorite word in the English language is “YET!” It’s powerful teaching kids about that word, and the phrase, “I don’t know how to do it...yet!” I love when parents are involved in what we’re doing in class, and extend the lessons at home.
It's a New Year, and time to Update your Chromebook!
