BARBER BULLETIN
Week of March 13-17
RON CLARK!
He reminds us all that there are so many ways to motivate our students. His message is consistent: Learning should be FUN! Consider what your students like - what are their hobbies? Embed those interests in your classroom! Use music! Teachers set the tone for each classroom. What is your tone?
Food for Thought:
What if your students were asked, "How does your teacher make learning fun?"
Would you be excited about their answers?
An opportunity to visit the RON CLARK ACADEMY in Atlanta, GA is being planned for September 21, 2017. If you would like to be considered to attend, please let K.Barber know soon!
MAP GOALS = MAP INCENTIVES
Our GLOBAL TEACHERS are ready! They are such good sports and our students are so lucky to have Global teachers that care deeply about their success in the classroom! A DANCE PARTY is going to be so much fun for our students if at least 50% of the students meet their TARGET GROWTH GOAL!
Hydrocephaleus Walk for EMMA!
As Courtney Lybrand mentioned in the staff meeting on Monday, the link for the kids to sign up for this year's walk changed and new letters were printed. They were provided in your boxes to go home this past week in students' folders. PLEASE try to encourage your kids to raise money and sign up to attend the walk! There are lots of prizes to be given and this is a cause that directly touches several students at Pontiac.
Please let Student Council teacher reps know if you have any questions or need any more letters!
Reminder: The walk is scheduled on April 1 at 9am!
