CEP "NO COST MEALS" AT TITLE SCHOOLS
The Kingsport Board of Education approved the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for Kingsport City Schools Title Schools.
All students at the following schools can get a healthy breakfast and lunch at school for NO-COST in the 2016-17 school year: Sevier Middle School, Jackson Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Johnson Elementary, Kennedy Elementary and Lincoln Elementary.
Our qualifying schools are getting no-cost meals for all students as part of the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) through a choice for schools called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
I hope this is something you can help us communicate to the families at your schools. Please see the attached letter that will be included in Elementary and Middle School Packets that go home with students the first day of school. Also attached is a flier that explains CEP in more detail.
Visit the CEP webpage on KCS for more information.
