His Early Life and Childhood
Amerigo Vespucci, America’s early discoverer, was always fascinated with the thought of exploring and with the explorer who made it to the Indies, Marco Polo. Amerigo’s mother was Lisabetta Vespucci and Amerigo’s father was Nastagio Vespucci. He also had four other brothers named Bernardo, Antonio, Agnoletta, and Gerolamo. Later on he would die of Malaria.
Places Amerigo Explored
Amerigo Vespucci explored the coasts of Brazil and Argentina. History.com stated that Amerigo discovered Rio de Janeiro and the Amazon River. He sailed to the Eastern coast of South America in 1501.
