Winter Party

I apologize for not getting this sent out sooner, but this week has been a little crazy. The following people signed up to help with the winter party:

  • Food: Nick, Connor
  • Drinks: Seth, Bradley
  • Paper Plates: Delaney
  • Cups: Hunter

Thank you so much for willing to help out! I really appreciate it!

We will discontinue our spelling tests from our Journeys stories as of right now. We will be working on spelling during small group reading and intervention time during the day. Right now, students will not be asked to study spelling words at home.

We are working on the story, "Me and Uncle Romie" in our Journeys series for the rest of this week and the two days next week. The skill your child is working on is understanding characters' thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Please make sure your child continues to read over break. Our winter testing will begin only a week or so after we come back, and it will be very beneficial for your child to continue to practice reading.

We have just started working on decimals. This is a a very challenging unit for a lot of students. Please be sure to communicate with me if any homework sent home is too difficult for your child to work on mostly independently. I try to never assign homework unless we have really practiced the skill in class.
