State Testing continues this week. We will be taking Math this Tuesday; and ELA this Wednesday and Thursday. This test in extremely important and we are encouraging all students to take their time, so they can do their best to get each answer correct. Please let your child know the importance of charging their device (laptop) each night. Also, each student needs to arrive to school before 8:00 A.M.

May 9-13 Make homemade sundaes.

Middle School Volleyball Tryouts will take place the following days: 7th Grade tryout dates are May 12th and 16th (5:30-8:00 P.M.). Students must attend both tryout days. Each student trying out must get a permission slip from Coach Collard, Coleman, or the front office.

There are posters up in the commons and by the cafeteria about the Cross Country tryouts Thursday, May 12th, after school at the HS track. Students will only have to run 2 miles and the tryouts are open to all rising 6th - 8th graders and high school students. It is a coed team and students will have to bring a completed physical.

Tryouts for the high school boy's basketball team will be May 16-17 for upcoming freshmen. It will be at the high school gym after school from 4:30-6:00.

For any student interested in joining the 2022-2023 DCMS Yearbook Staff. Please pick up an application packet as soon as possible. Current 7th Graders, packets are outside Ms. Lewis’s door (B14). Current 6th Graders, packets are outside of Ms. Bailey’s room (A36). Last day to submit applications will be May 18th. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Lewis.

DCHS Boys Soccer tryouts are May 19th and 20th from 4:-5:30 at the DCHS soccer field. Students must have a current physical in order to tryout.
