Student Device Plan 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Parents of current 6th and 7th graders:
As we prepare for the 2024-2025 school year, we would like to inform you that we will be initiating the collection of the student device fee, amounting to $25 per student, beginning April 2 through May 3.
When this fee is paid, students will be able to keep their devices over the summer. This fee can be conveniently paid through Revopay or with cash or check (made payable to DCMS). We highly encourage every 6th and 7th grade student to settle this fee during this period to ensure they have the necessary resources available on the first day of school next year. It's essential to note that if the student device fee remains unpaid, we will have to collect the student devices during our collection window set aside after state testing. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to remit the $25 fee to guarantee that your student has access to the required resources on the first day of school. Thank you for your cooperation and support in ensuring a smooth and successful academic year for our students. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the fee collection process, please do not hesitate to contact our librarian, Jennifer Davis, at jennifer.davis@dcsms.org. Thank you.
Parents of current 8th graders:
All devices will be collected from your students once state testing is complete. You will be sent an email from the high school once the payment window opens for them. Please do NOT pay the $25 fee until you have been given specific instructions from the high school.
Parents of ALL students:
If any student has a damage fee, please contact Jennifer Davis (jennifer.davis@dcsms.org) to resolve that as soon as possible. Students will not be issued another device until all damage fees have been paid. Damage fees can be paid on Revopay or using cash or check (made payable to DCMS).
