COVID Information

If a student or someone in their household has a pending COVID test, he/she should not attend school while the test results are being finalized. If the parent is notified by a physician that the test is negative, the student can return to school. If the student has a positive test, the parent should provide documentation to the school and follow quarantine orders from the Mississippi State Department of Health. If a parent sends his/her child to school while waiting for COVID test results, the parent is knowingly risking the potential of COVID-19 transmission to staff members and other students. In addition, these actions could cause students and/or staff members to be quarantined by the Mississippi State Department of Health for 14 days. If your child says he/she does not fell well, please do not send them to school.

8th Grade Scheduling at DCHS

DCHS Class of 2025 Parents!

If you can believe it, it is time to start talking about your 8th grader transitioning to DCHS, and the first piece of that puzzle is scheduling. We will be holding multiple meetings later this month/first of March to discuss the state's diploma endorsements, how our high school schedule works, a typical 9th grade schedule, etc. Please follow the link below to select the meeting you would like to attend.

Due to social distancing, we are trying to limit these meetings to no more than 1 parent for every 1 student. Students are welcome and encouraged to attend... we want our students to be as comfortable and familiar with what is to come as possible!

In the next few weeks, you will receive further details and information to review before these meetings, but for now simply sign up for a timeslot and mark your calendar. If you are not comfortable attending a meeting in person or you are unable to make any of the dates work with your schedule, the presentation will also be recorded and posted online.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or if there is anything else I can help you with at this time. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best Regards,
