COVID Information

If a student has a pending COVID test, he/she should not attend school while the test results are being finalized. If the parent is notified by a physician that the test is negative, the student can return to school. If the student has a positive test, the parent should provide documentation to the school and follow quarantine orders from the Mississippi State Department of Health. If a parent sends his/her child to school while waiting for COVID test results, the parent is knowingly risking the potential of COVID-19 transmission to staff members and other students. In addition, these actions could cause students and/or staff members to be quarantined by the Mississippi State Department of Health for 14 days. If your child says he/she does not fell well, please do not send them to school.

12 Days of Christmas

Our 12 Days of Christmas will begin on December 3, 2020. The following dress-up days have been devised in hopes of bringing holiday cheer! The schedule is attached below and I encourage everyone to participate.

Picture Day

We will be taking school pictures on Thursday, December 10th.

Band Christmas Concerts

This year our band students will perform with their grade level on their designated day. Our goal is to ensure we are in compliance with the 25% gym capacity mandate. This year's DCMS Band Christmas concerts will take place on the following dates at 6:00 P.M. Mr. Hart and Mrs. Hembruch will send out more detailed information closer to the dates.

6th Grade - December 3rd

7th Grade - December 8th

8th Grade - December 9th

Christmas Choir Concert

Our school choir will be having their annual Christmas Concert at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church on December 14th. The event will begin at 6:30 P.M. Mrs. Hunsucker will send out specific details closer to the date of the event.

Basketball Games (Updated Information)

In order to adhere to the Mississippi Department of Health guidelines, the following polices have been put in place to ensure our school is in compliance. All spectators are required to a wear a mask to sporting events and social distancing must take place. We are only allowed to fill our gym to 25% capacity. My primary goal is to ensure the parents of athletes are able to watch their child participate.

Each student athlete will be given two ticket passes for family members, which will allow them to purchase 1 ticket per pass, once they arrive at the game. After your child's game, we ask that you leave the premises, so we do not go over the 25% capacity mandate. Students who are not participating, but want to be spectators, must be accompanied by a parent in order to attend games.
