In Person Afterschool Activities are Returning!
We will begin to host our afterschool, in-person extracurricular and co-curricular activity program beginning Tuesday, January 18, 2022. In order to ensure that all participants are healthy and to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, all students should complete their COVID-19 home test and report their test results to the MCPS Google Form (English/Spanish) and notify their sponsor. Tests were distributed on Monday of this week. If you still need a test kit, please see Ms. Nichols in the Media Center.
Argyle EBB Session Two will begin on January 25th. They will be here to advertise the second semester programs next week during lunches on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. In order to participate in EBB, students will need to have reported their negative COVID Rapid Test results through the same MCPS Google Form.
THE END OF MARKING PERIOD 2
Parents, please remember that teachers will update grades for the end of marking period 1 on Thursday, January 27; Report Cards will be distributed on Monday, January 31. Please remind students to check their grades and submit make-up work. You can share this video on How to Check for Missing Assignments to guide students through the steps for checking their grades in StudentVUE.
Rapid Test Kits Distribution
On January 10th and 11th, Students received take-home rapid test kits during their 7th/ 8th periods. These easy-to-use tests will reveal the prevalence of the virus in each school community. They will quickly identify positive cases, allow COVID-19 positive individuals to isolate, and further reduce the spread of the virus in schools and offices.
Parents are asked to help students administer these tests at home and to submit whether their child has tested positive or negative using the MCPS COVID-19 Reporting Form. It is important for parents to report all results, both positive and negative when using the rapid test kits distributed in schools.
Please review the Argyle At Home Kit Distribution: Family Letter & Argyle Rapid Test Distribution for more information.

COVID - 19 Procedures for Students & Families
As we return to school, we continue to rely on our families and each individual to screen themselves daily for symptoms. To help us avoid quarantine, we are asking that you please continue to screen your children at home and if they have even one symptom of COVID-19, or are awaiting COVID test results, please do not send them to school.
This is particularly important if your child has any of the following single symptoms they will be sent home and not be able to return to school until they have a negative test, alternate diagnosis, or complete a full 10-day quarantine. It is a collective responsibility that we exercise extreme caution and be conservative in our approach.
Please do not send your children to school with any of COVID-like symptoms. This is essential for us to continue to remain in school without quarantine.
