ASB Updates - Homecoming 2019!
This week voting is open for the 2019 Homecoming Court. Students need to vote using their CUSD google accounts. Students will vote for up to 6 king candidates and 6 queen candidates. The 6 candidates for both king and queen receiving the most votes will be members of the 2019 court. The Homecoming Court rides in the parade, performs a "dance" at the pep rally, and is in the running for Homecoming King and Queen. The voting for King and Queen will occur after the Homecoming Pep Rally on October 18th, the winners will be announced on the field at half time of the football game that night.

Voting will close on Thursday 9/26 at lunch. The court will be announced on Friday 9/27 during announcements.
This week is the first week of Homecoming ticket sales! Homecoming will be on Saturday October 12th at Paradise Point.

Parents of Seniors - YOU ARE INVITED (this Friday):
Come for a night to get to know the other parents and learn about what events are coming up for your child their senior year!! The ASB Class of 2020 will need all the donations and help we can get this year to make it a great one, so we hope all can come!
Please feel free to bring a dessert, an appetizer, and/or a bottle of wine to share!

More pertinent information for parents of seniors: "Assassins" is NOT a CHS sponsored activity. Students are not allowed to wear floaties on the campus. Floaties must be stored in a secure location (backpack) before entering the campus. Water guns are not allowed on campus. Students are not allowed to store water guns in their backpacks. Any item that resembles the shape of a gun is not allowed on the campus of CHS.

To sign up for a visit, login to Naviance Student (formerly Family Connection) (student.naviance.com/coronadoca) with your Haiku username & password (not including "@coronadousd.org"), then hover over the "Colleges" page and click “Colleges Home.” At the bottom, you will see College Visits. There, you will find a list of all the scheduled college visits so far, and you can sign up for the ones you plan on attending.
All visits will take place in the College & Career Center or Library. We will have a sign in front of the CCC stating where each visit will be that day. Keep in mind that you will need teacher permission to attend a visit that takes place during class time.

PSAT - October 16th
Students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 16th. There is no charge to families for this exam. Information and preparation materials is being distributed to all students in their 5th period class today, 9/23/19. Students in the 11th grade can qualify for National Merit scholarships and awards based on their scores on this exam.
