Curriculum Night, 2021-2022
Those in attendance must be masked at all times while in the school, and we are encouraging that only one parent per family is present within each classroom to help with distancing.
Curriculum night is a parent-only event.
As in the past, we will be rotating on a staggered schedule.
Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2: 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Grade 3, Grade 4: 6:35 p.m. - 7:05 p.m.
Grade 5, Grade 6: 7:10 p.m. - 7:40 p.m.
Buses, close contacts
IN A CLASSROOM SETTING, a close contact is anyone who was within THREE FEET of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 for 15 minutes or more in a 24-hour period. This holds true even if both/all people were wearing masks.
ON A BUS, a close contact is anyone who was within SIX FEET of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 for 15 minutes or more in a 24-hour period. This holds true even if all people were wearing masks. We would calculate the total time the students were on the a.m. and the p.m. routes during our contact tracing.
Close contacts, whether from the classroom or the bus, will need to go into mandatory quarantine. Because our buses are quite full this year, the number of close contacts established during a single COVID-19 incident could be significant. Students on the bus do have assigned seats so we can more easily identify close contacts if the need ever arises.
While the bus is a good option for our families, I encourage our families to drive students to and from school whenever possible.
Indoor Lunch
As I mentioned earlier, we are making use of many areas in the school to keep students at least six feet apart while eating lunch--the stage, the gym, the intervention room, the library, the reading nook, and the art/music room.
Library Volunteers
Volunteers will need to wear a face mask at all times while in the building, and they will need to either be fully vaccinated or participating in weekly COVID-19 testing.
I will attach a Google form in next week's Paw Prints to gather the names of those interested in volunteering, and I'll have more information on how we will collect vaccination/testing information.
