Clover Flat Connection

August 21st, 2020

Good Evening Clover Flat Redhawk Students and Families,

Thank you for all of your patience these past three days. Like all new things, there is some trial and error involved until everything becomes more of a habit.

Please continue to connect with teachers with questions. We hope that your students had a great first three days and are feeling more comfortable with going "back to school". It has been wonderful to join class zoom meetings and see student faces and watch them adapt to this new learning environment.

We will continue to introduce students to the online classrooms, tools, and practice routines and procedures for virtual meetings, turning in assignments, and responding to teacher feedback. Teachers will then begin to conduct assessments to identify students academic areas of strength and needs to create small groups and interventions as needed.

Below you will find a link to the Elementary Student Responsible Use Agreements for PreK-6th Grade students. We ask that you review this information with your students and as parents who are now more than ever partners to your child's online classroom environment.

Lastly, we invite you to join us for our Virtual Back to School Night Monday, from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and have a great weekend!

We Need Your Input!

The Learning Continuity Plan is a key part of the overall budget package for K–12 that seeks to address funding stability for schools while providing information at the LEA level for how student learning continuity will be addressed in light of the COVID-19 crisis in the 2020–21 school year. The provisions for the plan were approved by the Governor and Legislature in June in SB 98 and can be found in EC Section 43509.

This replaces the traditional LCAP for the 2020-21 school year. It addresses the following areas:

  • In-Person Instructional Offerings

  • Distance Learning Program

  • Pupil Learning Loss

  • Mental Health and Social Well-Being

  • Pupil and Family Engagement and Outreach

  • School Nutrition
