September 29: In-Person Learning Combines
SEPTEMBER 29: New Drop-Off / Pick-up Route
Due to the high demand of car riding, I found it necessary to change the location of student drop-off and pick-up. The location is amended to the playground blacktop for both AM Drop-off and PM Pick-up. Kindergarten arrival and dismissal procedures are unchanged.
In addition to a location change, it is no longer necessary for approved individuals to sign-out children. We’re instituting a placard system (similar to what we use with Kindergarten) that will increase efficiency.
Better acquaint yourself with the new system by referencing three important documents.
Revised Salford Hills Student Arrival / Dismissal Instructions – This document explains the process.
Student Arrival / Dismissal Traffic Flow Map – Visual representation of traffic flow
Car Rider Information Form – This an electronic Google Form which allows you to appoint specific individuals who are allowed to pick-up your child. Don’t forget yourself! Once we have your pick-up approvals, we’ll make name placards and send home with your child. If you don’t receive your placard before the new system begins, that’s OK. Simply announce who you are picking up. We’ll ask to see your ID until you have a placard.
When does the new system begin? Tuesday, September 29.
I am hopeful that the new system will bring decreased congestion as we take better advantage of our physical resources here at Salford Hills. Thanks for being flexible in light of the changes. We’ll continue to monitor as warranted.

Student Help Desk
To help support students with ongoing technology needs, the District has a Student Help Desk. The Student Help Desk is available to assist with technology needs during school hours.
Each building provides on-site support at their Tech HUB, as well as support via the Student Help Desk Ticket form.
Before submitting a support request, please follow the three (3) steps below:
- Restart your device (power off and power back on).
- Check that your device is not in airplane mode.
- Check that the wireless connection is enabled.
If you are experiencing difficulty with Schoology, ClassLink or Office 365, please check their status to see if they are having a service interruption.

Volunteer Registration Form: Please complete
Thanks to everyone who has already filled out the volunteer registration form. If you haven't yet, it's not too late.
Please fill out this form to be contacted regarding volunteer opportunities at Salford Hills Elementary School. Volunteering will look different this year, but we want to have a pool of volunteers ready when the school is ready for us.
If you have more than one child at Salford Hills (in-person or SAOA), follow the prompts to fill out the form for each child. This will include completing the contact information and questions again to streamline the data for organization. Thanks for performing some extra finger exercises to complete the form for each child.
