Weather Instrument Projects Due February 19th
On Wednesday, I sent home directions for our next science project to be completed at home. Students should research on weather instrument either online, or in books, to decide which instrument they would like to make. Then, they should look online to find kid friendly directions for creating their instrument. As a family, build the instrument, and test it to be sure that it works. After creating the instruments, students must complete a lab report. In the report, they must list their materials, procedures for building the instrument, and reflections after testing the instrument. Pictures of building and/or testing are also nice, but are not required.
Here is an example of a kid friendly weather instrument project:

Please let me know if you have any questions about the project. All projects are due on Monday, February 19th. (I have extended the date for one week!)
Spelling Quiz will be this Monday
My ELA students were not able to take their spelling quiz on Friday, so they will take it on Monday morning. Make sure they study them this weekend:)
Students will not have a spelling list or spelling homework next week!
Social Studies Quiz on Tuesday, February 13th
I sent home a study guide on Causes of the American Revolution in students' binders on Wednesday. I sent it home early so that students have plenty of time to go over the information before their quiz on the 13th. We will wrap up the unit this week, test next week, and then move onto the Battles of the Revolutionary War.
Clouds Quiz Monday, February 12th
On Wednesday, my homeroom students will bring home a study guide on the 4 different types of clouds we have been studying in science. They should share these with you to prepare for their quiz on the 12th. (It's pretty simple stuff, I promise!)
