Symtoms:
-Family/ friendship problems
-Highly critical of others, yet sensitive to criticism of self
-Unforgiving
-Suspects that others are exploiting, harming, or deceiving him or her
-Quick to react angrily
-Difficulty relaxing
-Hostile, stubborn and argumentative
-Perception of innocent incidents as threatening
Treatment:
-Treatment is difficult for people with this disorder, because they are often very suspicious of doctors or anyone. If treatment is accepted, talk therapy and medications can help reduce paranoia.
Causes:
-The causes of Paranoid Personality disorder are unknown, but it most likely involves a combination of biological and psychological factors.
-It is common in people who have close relatives with schizophrenia or delusional disorder.
-Also more common in men than women.
Could be caused by early childhood experiences
