In anticipation of losing even more road on Highway 105, we are looking at ways to speed up your car rider experience. Did you know one way to speed the line is to hang your car rider sign from your rearview window? Simply tape it to a child's clothes hanger or clip it to a child's pants hanger (see picture).

• If you have extra hangers, we will happily pass them on to people in need. Just send them to school with your student. Many thanks!

Reminder, cell phones are prohibited in the car rider line.

It's very hot outside and we are carefully monitoring the heat index when making decisions about recess. Unfortunately, we have been limiting time outside during the heat. Please consider sending a water bottle to school with your student.

With continued record heat in our area, we want to be especially mindful of those members of our community who may be more susceptible to heat-related illness due to medical conditions or age. Home varsity football games in Conroe ISD are streamed for free on our Athletics YouTube Channels, and we encourage anyone who has not built up a tolerance to these temperatures to enjoy the games from the comfort of their own home in the air conditioning.

For anyone who feels they must watch the game in person, we encourage you to bring an empty water bottle and utilize our free water stations so you can stay hydrated. Please also dress in light colored, breathable clothing and drink plenty of fluids before attending. We will have cooling stations and medical professionals on site. There will be many opportunities this season to watch a game under the Friday night lights when temperatures are cooler.

Parent lunch visitors welcome starting August 21st. There is limited space for parent visitors during lunch. Reserve your place to ensure you will be able to eat with your student. Please sign up using the link below. We ask that you limit your visits to no more than twice a week so other parents have the opportunity to schedule times with their students.

• Store bought treats only.
• When bringing birthday treats, please remember they must be left in the front office. The classroom teacher will distribute them at the end of class.
