Volcanic eruptions

Describe piralclastic material and lava flows.

What is piralclastic material?

Piralclastic material is a cloud of ash. A Pirolclastic material is made out of Felsic magma that has more trapped gases made out silicon and feldspar. It is more viscous that causes a violent eruption and it is light colored.

lava flows

Mafic magma has low viscosity with less trapped gases and causes it to have a quiet eruption. It is made out of Magnesium and Iron in which it causes it to have a dark color. It erupts pahoehoe, Aa, and Blocky lava.
