Session II Recording {NEW!}
Tuesday, February 25
For this session, we will hear from Peter Kuznick, the foremost historian specializing in the history of the atomic bombing. (profile) Dr. Kuznick, in conjunction with Oliver Stone, has recently published a book and produced an HBO miniseries entitled The Untold History of the United States. His goal will be to dispel conscious and subconscious preconceptions you may have and call to question what you think you know about Hiroshima and the atomic bombings.
Wednesday, February 26
The third online lecture will be presented by Jackie Cabasso (profile). Ms. Cabasso will describe the history and current status of the global movement to abolish nuclear weapons. Having been at the front lines of this movement for over thirty years, her objective will be to deepen your understanding of who is doing what in the effort to control and eliminate the threat of nuclear weapons. At the same time, she also has expert knowledge of the weapons themselves.
