Spooky Finish to October

Hope you all enjoyed the end of October in spooky fashion. I certainly enjoyed the costumes we saw throughout our half day. Thank you for your donation as we eclipsed the $100 mark to kick off our program.

The Book Fair is Coming

Right after the Thanksgiving Break (November 26th to the 30th), we will be having our annual Book Fair. This serves as a great holiday shopping opportunity while continuing to put great young adult literature in your child. We are offering many ways to purchase books this year. The eWallet allows for you to load money on an account for your student to use while at the book fair (eWallet). Please check out the homepage:

If you are interested in volunteering to help cover the book fair, please let me know.

Robotics Club is Coming!

Robotics Club is almost upon us and it's time to start recruiting. There will be 2 teams between the schools, one for all middle schoolers and one for all high schoolers. The club will start sometime in November and run all the way until competition in April. We will meet two times a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-4pm. We will be competing in a competition called Botball which is held at Umass Lowell. The purpose of Botball is to program two robots that must collect more pom poms than the other team. Last year our middle school team even beat the Innovation Academy's high school team! See Mr.Boisvert and Mr.Bellerose for more details.

Co-Teaching Presentation

Speakers: Brian Reilly, TES Special Education Facilitator

Josh Evans, TMS/THS Special Education Facilitator

Over the past few years, Tyngsborough Public Schools has increased learning opportunities for students within a co-taught classroom. The co-taught classroom affords learners the opportunity to participate in various instructional models that allow students access to a diverse learning experience to meet their instructional needs. In the co-taught classroom, students with and without disabilities access rigorous instruction that is differentiated to specific learner need and benefit from the constant collaboration and expertise that both general education and special education teachers bring to the learning environment. This workshop seeks to help answer questions about our co-teaching practices and answer any questions families may have about the increase in this practice.

The Ski & Snowboard Club advisors are excited to announce that we will be skiing and riding at Pats Peak in Henniker, NH, this winter. We are looking forward to a new mountain with greater terrain and hopefully better conditions further north. Students interested in joining the club are encouraged to sign-up early. For more information, how to sign-up, and required paperwork, please use the following link:

The TMS PALS Program fosters close connections and a sense of belonging, built around quality, accepting and caring people. In other words, TMS PALS is a friendship club. Together, we will create an environment and host activities that enhance positive friendships and help students grow as individuals. To those students that signed up, the paperwork is due on Monday, October 22nd. If your child signed up for TMS PALS and didn't receive the paperwork or still wants to join TMS PALS please stop by Room 219 and see Ms. Craig for details. Thank you.

Late Bus and Parent Pickup

Please do not park in the bus lane around 3:50 on Tuesday and Thursday as it blocks our late busses access to pick up students. Thank you.

Washington DC for Eighth Graders

The Washington DC trip is a great experience for our eighth graders. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to connect their learning to travel, be with their friends in a non-school setting and see our nation's capital. Trip information is found HERE. Mr. Maslanka heads up the trip and you can find more information on his BLOG. Financial assistance is available, contact

We currently have 90 students signed up for the 8th grade Washington DC trip. All TMS students and families participating in the trip must agree to the TMS behavior agreement. The document is here: TMS agreement to travel

There is a link to an electronic agreement on the document, and that is also located here:
