In an effort to have a consistent dragon to represent our school, we worked with the PTA to design a new Dragon. The staff narrowed down the selections to the top two. GOTR / STRIDE – Volunteers Needed

It’s time to throw on our running shoes and gear up for another great season of GOTR/Stride! This is a 10-week running/team building program developed through the YMCA and taught by parent volunteers for upper elementary students (grades 3-5). The program will meet twice a week for 10 weeks mid-March through mid-May and culminate in the annual YMCA 5k. We are looking for a few good parents who are interested in helping to lead the teams through the program. We would like a solid group of 5 volunteers/team (Stride for boys, GOTR for girls) so that each volunteer will only need to commit to one lesson/wk (Tues/Thurs immediately following school dismissal). In addition, we need a volunteer who is willing to take the role of lead coach for Stride. If you are interested in helping or would like more details, please email Elisabeth Deller at

This program has been a big success over the last 3 years, but it can’t continue without the help of our amazing parent volunteers. Thank you in advance for helping to keep the program running!
