Weekly Update
12/11-12/15
Dear Families,
Thank you to everyone who was available to attend our lunch on the lawn! I hope you had as much fun as I did. This week in ELA we practiced identify the topic and detail of a non-fiction text as well as identifying non-fiction text features, such as headings and captions. We also learned about the letter r! In math, we continued to practice composing and decomposing numbers to 10. We were even able to try out math centers this week! In science, we began conducting our class STEM fair project. We completed several trials to see how long it takes ice to melt, and will use that information next week to make a class STEM project.

Save the Dates
- Friday, 12/15 is lunch on the lawn from 12:00-12:30. I recommend arriving at 11:40 to ensure you can spend as much time with your child as possible. You can bring food, chairs, and blankets for your family if you would like to.

- Friday 12/22 will be our winter celebration (class party)! I will have more information regarding this later this week.
- Friday 12/22 is the last day of the quarter.
- 12/25-01/07 is winter break (no school).
- Monday 01/15 is no school (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
