Welcome Back Lincoln Landsharks!

We are DELIGHTED to be welcoming all of our students and families back to school. It is hard to believe that some of our students may not have entered this building since March of 2020! Thank you all for your support and partnership during this unprecedented time in education, as we blazed the virtual/concurrent teaching path during the pandemic. We couldn't have done it without you and our AMAZING staff! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

Included within this newsletter you will find important information for the school year. Our student handbooks will be posted online on our website. Please be sure to stay connected and follow us on our social media platforms, the specifics can be found at the end of this newsletter. Schoolwide we will continue to use the app REMIND from the classrooms to share out classroom and school specific information in addition to the other platforms. We will be holding a parent information session via Zoom on Wednesday August 25th at 4:00 to provide general information and answer any questions you may have, regarding the return to school, safety protocols etc...We look forward to continuing our partnership to ensure your children and our students receive the best possible opportunities, to achieve academic success. We hope to see you at this initial parent meeting.

Important Dates to Remember

School Starts at 8:30 and dismissal is at 2:50

First Day of School for students in Grades 1-4: August 31st

Kindergarten Orientation for students and parents: September 2nd 9:00-10:00

PreK Orientation for the am and pm sessions, parents and students: September 2nd 10:00-11:00

First Day of School for students in PreK and K: September 7th

Open House: September 30th for students and families 4:00-6:00 pm


The safety of all children is our first priority. It is critical that any changes to a student's dismissal routine be sent to the school office in writing, even if it is just for one day. Changes by parent phone call are for emergencies only and the office will require a return call to a number we have on file for the custodial parent to verify the change. Students will be dismissed ONLY to caregivers who are listed on the Student emergency Form.

Any students who have emergency medications (Epi-Pens, inhalers, etc.) or who will receive medication in school MUST have a medication order from the prescribing physician AND a completed consent form from the City Health Department. Forms and medication can be dropped off to the school nurse on the first day of school. The school nurse cannot administer ANY medications without a physician's order, including over-the-counter medications. Please make sure that the school nurse is provided refills in advance of any medication supply running out.

Please also be sure that the nurse has updated vaccination records. In addition, any absence related to a doctor appointment- please be sure to get a Dr. note, so that we may document it as an excused absence.
