The Leader In Me: Mission Statements
Mission statements were introduced during Habit 2: Begin With The End In Mind. Mission statements are important, as they root us in what is important and help guide our decisions, both individually and as a community. They help create a path of where we want to go and how we are going to get there. Ask your child what their mission statement is!

Meet Ms. Silas, 8th Grade Social Studies and Student government teacher
Ms. Silas was born and raised in Sacramento and is passionate about where she lives; the city of trees. She prides herself on always being a learner, both mentally and physically. She has a gusto for living life and always exploring.
Ms. Silas has proudly been with NP3 Middle since it opened 8 years ago. She LOVES NP3 and all of the students and families she has come to build relationships with. She truly enjoys the opportunity to watch the students mature and grow, especially with having a shared campus between the middle and high schools. Ms. Silas also started the 8th grade N.Y.C. and Washington D.C. trip with her colleague Ms. Clark, it's an experience hundreds of students have participated in.
Meet Mr. McGuire, Dean of Students for NP3 MS & HS
Mr. McGuire was born and raised in Sacramento and has a wife and two daughters. When he is not devoted to improving NP3, he loves spending time with his family - traveling and being active. He is truly a family man at heart.
Mr. McGuire attended Sacramento State University where he played baseball for the Hornets while earning his Bachelor degree in Kinesiology. He is now in his 14th year in education and is proud to say he was one of the original 8 people who opened NP3 HS 11 years ago. Mr. McGuire began as a teacher in both Biology and Physical Education In 2015, and later became the Dean of Students and couldn’t be happier. He is very proud of the positive culture and climate at NP3 and is committed to maintaining the positive culture as the Dean of Students. Mr. McGuire truly loves coming to work each day to be a part of these young people’s lives and watch each student grow both academically and personally.
