Florence Sawyer School Happenings
Monday, February 22, 2021
I hope this finds you well, having had some quality time together over the February Break.
I want to remind you that tomorrow is the rescheduled day for our A Cohort student pictures. We are also working with O'Connor's Studios to identify another date for students that may need retakes or were unable to be present for one of our previously scheduled dates. I will send a separate email to families when we have identified that additional date.
With tonight's weather forecast and the conditions we fear we will find in the morning, we are going to postpone our Winter Walk to School dates, tomorrow and Thursday. We will reschedule some new dates for Early Spring and try again.
As I mentioned in our Virtual Coffee, we are excited about the ways in which our connections with students on their at-home days continue to evolve. At the Elementary level, for example, a number of our specialists have stepped up to offer instruction in specific areas such as research skills, coding, and health.
Yours in partnership,
Families considering a change in their child's current learning model

Pick-A-Time will open on March 1 at 7:00 pm. The scheduling software will remain open until March 11, closing at 11:59 pm.

Bolton School Donations Committee (BSDC)
Follow us on Facebook.
The BSDC has been busy supporting the teachers and staff of Florence Sawyer this year! Here are some of the highlights:
-In September, teachers, and staff each received a welcome back gift chocolate box from Colonial Candies.
-The committee fast-tracked teacher requests so teachers would have the necessary supplies for remote teaching such as laptop stands and carts, wireless microphones and headsets, webcams, and digital graphics drawing tablet.
-Other purchases included magnets, posters, snap circuits, seat cushions, storage solutions, puzzles, bouncy bands for desks, as well as lots and lots of books!
-The BSDC worked together with the Bolton Community Fund to purchase a bilateral bolster swing for the occupational therapy classroom.
-In December the Square One Art fundraiser raised $2300 for our school fund.
The BSDC would like to thank all of the parents and students for your support in making the Square One Art fundraiser a success. If you would like to volunteer for the committee please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
