Swim Team Results
Results from our girl's swim meet last week.
Lily Cooper placed third in the 200 and 100 freestyle.
Brooke Stewart placed 6th in the 200 and 7th in the 100 freestyle
Renee Holland placed 6th in the 500 freestyle and Lizzy Lynch placed 8th
Emma Johnson placed 8th in the 50 and 100 backstroke.
And congrats to both 200 relays with Krista Anderson, Brooke Stewart, Lizzy Lynch, Emma Johnson, and Renee Holland!

The 2023/2024 yearbook is now on sale. Yearbooks can be purchased at school in the ASB windows during school hours, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. You can also order them through our school website. Yearbooks cost $55 with an ASB card and $60 without an ASB card. Get yours now and cherish your high school memories! Sale is on thru Oct. 31, 2023.
SOCK-TOBER
BGHS is collecting new socks in both children and adult sizes to support the Socktober initiative. Donations will benefit two local nonprofits that support children in foster care in partnership with TMG Cares. Our sock drive is running from October 2 through October 27. Students can turn in socks to Mrs. Blankenship in room B4.

Hey Seniors!
It’s that time of the year to start thinking about senior pictures. Senior pictures are due December 2nd, so don’t wait until the last minute.
Plain/neutral background preferred
Full face view, facing forward
Clothing and jewelry must fit school dress code guidelines
No creative filters or photographic treatments
No weapons or hand signs of any kind
Minimum Resolution of 300 DPI
All pictures MUST be submitted via the link below

College and Career Center
Scholarship Workshop
Learn how to navigate local, regional, state and national scholarships. The College and Career Center is hosting a Scholarship Workshop during Tiger Time on Tuesday, October 24. All students are welcome to attend.

SAT Information
This December, students in grades 11-12 have an opportunity to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test, or SAT.
About the test
- Testing date: Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023
- Time: 8 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m. (arrive at 7:40 a.m.)
- Place: Battle Ground High School media center
How to register
- Registration is open now. Space is limited to 100 seats. The deadline to register is Nov. 2, 2023.
- To register, visit https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/registration/dates-deadlines and create an account if needed.
- Test center site number: 48827
- Cost: $60. Waivers are available upon request to those who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Please contact Barb Kujava at kujava.barbara@battlegroundps.org before registering.
- Email your registration confirmation to Lacey Marsolek at marsolek.lacey@battlegroundps.org.
- An email with final instructions will be sent out a couple days prior to the test date.

Reminder
This is the last opportunity to take the SAT with paper and pencil. Next spring the test will only be available digitally.

Free and reduced-price meals benefit expiration
Please be aware that free and reduced-price meal benefits expire Oct. 11 for students who have not renewed their application from last year. Families must apply for meal benefits each year to continue receiving lunch and breakfast at a reduced rate, or maintain access to free or reduced activity fees with completion of a Consent to Share form. Only one application is required for each family and the information is always confidential.
You can reapply for meal benefits by:
Picking up a meal benefits application at your child’s school and returning it.
Print an application (available in ENGLISH |Español | русский) and return it to your child's school or the district office located in Building A of the CASEE campus at 11104 NE 149th St. in Brush Prairie.
In addition, this consent form to information eligibility must fill out along with free and reduced lunch form. Please Click this Link to get the form.

Monday, Oct. 30-Friday, Nov. 3 - Parent/teacher conferences. School will start at the regular M/T/Th/F time on Wednesday, Nov. 1. There will be NO one-hour late start that week.
