Safe Driving
K-5 families, you should know that our preschool program begins dropping off students at 7:55. These parents have to exit their vehicle to get their child out of their car seats. This takes more time and has people getting in and out of their vehicles which can be more unsafe. PLEASE exercise caution and patience.

We could use more...
We could use one more volunteer to Deliver Lunch. 10:10 - 1:10 - Deliver lunch to the classrooms.
If you find you have time to give, even if you can give one day a week, we will work with you to make it work! Please contact the school office at 507-387-7672 or email Mr. Kamphoff at dkamph1@isd77.org
Thank you for considering!
Distance Learning Day - November 4th
November 4 is our next full day PLC day. This is another day students will not be physically in school. Hybrid students will be provided with Distance Learning paper and pencil expectations to be completed at home for this day. Those tasks will need to be completed and a parent signature will be needed as well for attendance purposes. Your child's teacher will provide specific information regarding the expectations for the day.

REQUESTS TO TRANSFER BETWEEN SCHOOL MODELS
While the vast majority of families have settled into the decision that you have made for learning this school year, we have had some movement as families are learning what plan is best for the needs of their family and children. Please know that as the year progresses we will continue do our best to work with families as needs change but know that we are getting close to capacity in some grade levels which may result in a longer time period before change requests can be accommodated.
If you would like to be considered for a transfer from the Safe Learning Plan to the Distance Learning Option, or vice versa, please contact the Rosa Parks office. These requests are considered on a weekly basis.
Further detail -
The district elementary administrative team reviews requests on a weekly basis every Thursday.
After your transfer request is received in the school office, you may be contacted by Mr. Kamphoff to discuss the reason for the request. Depending on the capacity at both the school and distance learning class, staffing could be impacted. Approval to change options may come as early as the following week but could also take weeks based on the overall numbers.
Once your request is approved, you will be notified of the change and be given a start date.
TITLE 1 SERVICES AT ROSA PARKS
Rosa Parks is a Schoolwide Title 1 School. In the past, Title 1 funds were available to
provide additional support to students who qualified based on their test scores. As a Schoolwide Title 1 school we are now able to utilize those resources more flexibly to support any students that would benefit. This fits wonderfully with our small group instruction blocks when students receive acceleration or enrichment based on their specific needs. Feel free to contact the school if you have questions.
As a parent, you have the right to request information about the qualifications of your child’s teacher(s). For further information, contact Dan Kamphoff, principal at Rosa Parks Elementary.
