Bobcat Pride
Sunset Valley Elementary - week of February 5 - February 9
The Principal's Den
Thank you to everyone who was able to stop by our 2nd Annual Open House! We all enjoyed seeing so many families and kids come in to see all the great things happening here at Sunset Valley.
The Principal Den Video will return next week! I will be in Lubbock on Friday cheering for my son who qualified for regionals in the breast stroke and in two relays. We are very excited for him and the other students on his team who also qualified. This week, I wanted to share a very special request! Please keep reading.
Your vibe attracts your tribe. No matter how self-sufficient we all believe we are, the truth is we need a good support system. We need each other. We all could use more friendships, support, inspiration, compassion, and kindness. The people we surround ourselves with have the power to uplift and inspire us. Choose the people around you that challenge you. They ignite your spirit and help you to grow. Think about the people you know who could be positive influencers in your life. Spend more time with them. As you surround yourself with positive, supportive, and energetic people, your vibe will resonate into our classrooms. Our students will feel the energy too. That makes it all worth it.
Sunset Valley needs YOU! Our PTA is looking for additional supportive, positive, energetic people to be on the 2018-2019 PTA Board. Please consider being a leader for our school, our teachers and our KIDS! More information is coming soon on how you can volunteer!

Keeping Bobcats Healthy
Has your student been sick? Please remember students cannot attend school until fever free for 24 hrs without medication or clearance from a doctor. Any positive flu tests should be reported to Nurse Liz or anyone in our front office. We have to report our numbers to the State Department of Health, which helps track flu cases.
Let's keep all our Bobcats healthy! Take your kids to the doctor & keep your kiddos home if they are showing signs of flu!!
