PLP Weekly Update
You're almost there! Keep up the momentum!
Check out this week's Spotlight on Service!
Need a ride to your service site? Check out the PLP Rideshare!
This is a forum where you can find rides or contribute rides to a community service location. Transportation to do volunteer work can sometimes present a challenge for those who do not have cars on campus. And serving at a new location can be unnerving when you don't know anyone who also volunteers at a site. Here's an easy way to find a means to get around, or at least a car companion! Just remember that whoever you bring in your vehicle you assume the responsibility of your passenger. We hope this is an easy way for you to find a ride!

Calling all Captains!
We need your help! We have a list of foster children in Newport News who will go without presents this Holiday Season! Last year we partnered with the Newport News Department of Human Services to help make the season brighter for 2380 children.
Willing to help out? Team up with your hall, club, sports team, sorority or fraternity, acappella group, or friends to donate one or more of the items on this list. Once you have chosen your present, add the name of your organization beside the item on the attached spreadsheet. After you purchased your gift, bring it to the PLP office on the third floor of the DSU to drop it off!
If everyone in your organization donates a dollar, think about how easily it could cover the cost of a present on the list!

PLP Crush Hall of Fame-Thanksgiving Edition
The first semester of the Crush Hall of Fame is coming to a close! We have really appreciated the participation in this idea, and really encourage all of you to check out Hall of Fame in the Fellow’s office. Since we missed the last week of November, we are going back to female fictional characters by popular request. We are expecting this week to be a popular week. This week…for the last female fictional characters week….we are highlighting Disney Princesses!! We have picked three very popular, yet classic, princesses to choose from this week! Choosing the only Disney Princess to be on the wall is a massive responsibility! Choose wisely!
Remember, if you have any suggestions for male or female crushes/different themes for each month feel free to email Zach at zachary.walseman@cnu.edu with your ideas!
Just follow the link below to pick the winner for this week!
Here are this week’s contestants!
Cinderella
In the wake of her father's untimely demise, Cinderella is left in the unfortunate care of her cruel stepmother and jealous stepsisters. Thanks to the help of her kind Fairy Godmother, she and Prince Charming fall in love. Arguably the most timeless Disney Princess of all time!
Jasmine
Jasmine is the beautiful and well sought-after Princess of Agrabah who is being forced by an age-old law to marry a prince in time for her 16th birthday. She falls for the street urchin Aladdin, and the rest is history. It truly became a Whole New World!
Belle
Belle is the beautiful and intelligent Disney princess who falls for the Beast. Their love breaks the curse, thus returning the Beast to his true, human form. I mean if you don’t know this story, then something is wrong with you. It’s a Tale as Old as Time.
