Communicating Efficiently
1. Save scripts- when sending out multiple email regarding the same matter, keep a script handy. (Ex: scheduling observations for your administrator or reminding teachers to take attendance).
2. Be friendly on the phone- listen to what the person has to say, ask them to please hold and wait for a response, don't cut people off while they are speaking. People can "hear" your smile on the phone during a conversation.
3. Check grammar-when sending out emails take a few extra minutes to read over your email or ask a colleague to read it prior to sending.
4. Keep emails/voicemails short- state your purpose, ask direct questions and provide a time frame by which you expect to hear back. For voicemails repeat your name and call back number.
