Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl


The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl is a competition based on the content of the Georgia Book Award Nominees. Teams from elementary schools compete to test their knowledge about the selected books. Fourth and fifth grade students are invited to try out for the Sarah Smith team.

Requirements include:

1. Reading as many of the books as possible

2. Practicing with team members once a week from October - January

3. Formulating questions and answers for books read

4. Taking AR tests for books read

The team will be chosen in mid-November.
