Dates to Remember:

  • Schofield Night at Chuck E Cheese

    August 30th is the night, Schofield families! The Chuck E Cheese crew will be hosting Schofield educators, parents and kids from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. They will be sharing a percentage of sales with our school! Mark your calendars for some fun! Ms. Coursey and I will see you there.

  • Important Information and Dates for Schofield Families

    • Labor Day - September 2nd -NO SCHOOL
    • PTO Meeting - September 9th at 6 p.m.
    • Fall pictures will be taken on September 10th.
    • Grandparents Night is September 16th (more information will come home later).

Objectives for the Week:

Reading- Students will describe setting, problems, solutions (plot), sequence of events, and the big idea, moral or lesson of a story. This week we will focus on setting and the problem and solution.

Writing- This week we are going to establish the expectations and routine of Writer's Workshop.

Math- We will focus on strategies to fluently add within 20.

Content- Students will understand that rules and procedures are put in place to keep us safe.


Students have already earned 7 tiger paws for being safe, respectful, and responsible. What a great way to start off the year! Way to go 2nd graders!!

Counselor's Corner

Mrs P. will start classroom visits for the year very soon, but as always, feel free to contact Ms. Pietruszynski with any questions/concerns you might have regarding your student. or 732-3610.

Schofield’s Attendance Goals

Our building level goal is to have a proportional attendance rate of more than 95%.

Each day that we have 100% attendance in our classroom we will place one letter of the word ATTENDANCE on the board. When we complete the word we will celebrate as a class!

Schofield Improvement Plan

It is Schofield Elementary's goal to make sure more than 80% of students are proficient with Missouri Learning Standards for math and literacy.
