Scottie News
Useful Information for our Families
A message from Mrs. Blair
Dear Parents,
I hope this newsletter finds everyone in good health and good spirits. I would like to start off by thanking all of the people that are on the front lines who are making sacrifices to ensure that the El Paso community stays safe and healthy. We have definitely had to make lots of changes in just a matter of days, so it is our main priority to make sure that our Scotties are provided with as many resources for learning and information regarding this pandemic that they may be having a difficult time understanding. In order to help our students continue to grow academically, we would love to see your child logging into our available resources through Clever. Everyone has come together to help in some way-- authors providing story time, art lessons and virtual tours. You will find links to some of those resources in this newsletter.
We will continue to take precaution and will be monitoring the corona virus situation carefully and following all guidelines set by our District and and State Health Department. Please feel free to contact me at rblair1@yisd.net
For important updates, we will continue to notify you via district applications as well as our social media platforms.
Stay safe and as always, "Sageland loves you!"

A Message from our Superintendent
We encourage students to engage in online learning opportunities during the school closure. School electronic devices have been sent home for students in grades 3-10. All parents of a PREK-2nd grade student will receive a workbook in the mail for your child to work on at home. We will send out additional parent information with online learning opportunities that have been utilized throughout the school year. During this time off, the district will be thoroughly sanitizing our campuses and district offices.
As a precautionary step given the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are asking everyone in the Ysleta ISD community who traveled outside of the El Paso region after March 23, 2020 to register their travel here: YISD Travel Registry
As always, we will also continue to work closely with our city and county health officials, and monitor any developments regarding COVID-19 as it relates to the Ysleta ISD community. Please continue to check this page for any updates throughout the closure, and we strongly encourage you to continue to practice good hand hygiene, and remain committed in your efforts to keep your family in good health.
Also, please continue to review updates provided by the CDC at CDC Coronavirus (COVID-19) Web Page. The CDC web page is the best resource for up-to-date information on the virus and steps that need to be taken to contain it.

As we continue to receive more information I will keep you updated on how I can meet with my students virtually.
