We are beginning to have some issues with the dress code. Please look at the image above to be aware of dress code expectations at SSMS. Students know these expectations but sometimes try to "test the limits."

As mentioned previously in "The Bullpen" parent newsletter, several of our students miss more than 20 days. As a school, we know students get sick or have other things come up that they will have to miss school. However, missing too much school has a significant outcome on student progress. If your child has to miss school, please be sure to send in a doctor's note or a parent letter stating why your child was absent. These letters must be returned to the school no more than two business days after the absence.

As we move into the 3rd quarter, we want our students to step up to the plate and come in every day and give us their absolute best! Most (not all) middle schoolers are typically not intrinsically motivated, so moving into the 3rd quarter, we want to be more diligent in providing extrinsic motivation to help our kiddos meet their highest potential. This will start with communicating with our students and families the criteria to earn our 3rd Quarter Bull Bash. In the image above, you will see all students' requirements to attend.
