Big picture
Our weeklies will be emailed and posted on our web page most Thursdays in the evening. The newest points of interest will appear at the top along with a review of the previous week and things to look forward to for the next week. We include links to our Warwick Parent/Guardian Handbook and a page where we curate previously publicized flyers for easy referral. If you have ideas on how to improve our Warwick Weekly as a means of communication, "we want to hear from you." Please use the online feedback form that can be found at the end of each Weekly to share your ideas, thoughts, and concerns with us.

Here is What Happened this Week!

  • We started our week with a snow day!
  • Our Turkey Toss started on Tuesday and continues through to tomorrow.
  • Yesterday was the last day of the 1st Trimester.
  • We had early dismissal yesterday.
  • And today we celebrated Warwick's 100 Years! Our featured photo (above) was taken by Mrs. Lynn Hartzell earlier in the year and presented today during our Warwick 100th Birthday Assembly. That photo will hang proudly in our hallway for all to see. Every student was offered a Warwick Birthday cupcake to enjoy after the assembly. And congratulations to Ms. McGettigan's homeroom who won the whole-school Warwick History Kahoot! See link below for feature in the CB Moments. We anticipate the full video be available soon. Stay tuned.

NEWS ITEMS

The Gift of Kindness

During the month of December, many people give each other gifts. At Warwick, we will spend the month giving others, and ourselves, the gift of kindness. Each day during the morning announcements, we will share a new way we can "gift" kindness. This was inspired by Action for Happiness. Here is a link to the December Kindness Calendar in case you would like to follow along at home: https://www.actionforhappiness.org/kindness-calendar.

Warwick's Main Office Under Construction

To help create needed space, Warwick's Main Office area will be under construction starting Monday, December 9. We will essentially create three offices where there were two before by adding walls. During the interim, we will relocate Miss Anna Walton, our School Psychologist to the School Counselor's office. Mrs. Kristen Sleicher, our School Counselor, will use a small space back in the PEN Suite. Dr. Leatherbarrow will be on her mobile desk and borrowing space as needed. All phone extensions will remain the same. Our estimated move back in date is January 17th.

Kindergarten registration begins on November 19! Families of new students who are eligible to enroll in kindergarten in the 2020-2021 school year are invited to begin the registration process. Get the details on eligibility, what documents to gather, and how to navigate the online registration process at www.cbsd.org/registration. We look forward to welcoming the class of 2032!

Dr. Kopicki's Community Connections changed to Jan. 14 at 6 PM.
