Diamond Canyon Coyote Chronicle
March 2023: Communication for our Coyote Families
Note From Principal LeCount
Dear Coyotes,
It was great seeing so many families on campus for conferences a few weeks ago. Parental partnership truly makes a positive difference for student achievement and the culture of our school.
Last Friday our PTA hosted a memorable evening with our annual Daddy Daughter Dance. I want to give a HUGE thank you to our DC PTA and all the volunteers that put in hours of time to pull off this special evening. To all the dads/uncles/neighbors/friends that brought a Coyote, THANK YOU. The smiles of our girls were priceless. There were a few moments that made my eyes mist feeling such gratitude for the school community I am blessed to call home.
This week we are hosting our Kindergarten Roundup Night. We would love for you to share with friends and family. Our kindergarten classrooms will be open and the Book Fair will also be open to welcome current and new families in to see our beautiful library and purchase a new book or two. The evening is on March 1st 5:00-6:00pm. You can enter at the kindergarten gate or main gate. The Book Fair is open to ALL 3:30-6:00pm March 1st.
Another fun event this week is our annual Lunch with the Lorax on Thursday, March 2nd. Kindergarten through third grade families are welcome to bring a blanket and favorite book to picnic with our students. It's a great way to spend lunch time with our students.
I wish everyone a healthy and happy spring break March 13th - 17th.
With Coyote Pride,
Mrs. Tara LeCount
Proud Principal

Mass Communication System update
In recent weeks, we have experienced email issues with our mass notifications system, where messages were intermittently delayed, failed to send, or ended up in spam folders. We have been informed by our mass notifications provider, Finalsite, that the problems have since been resolved.
We apologize for this, as we know how important email communications are to keeping our families and staff informed. If a crisis occurs or critical information needs to be shared, please be aware that information will be communicated with you in multiple ways:
- Text
- Website communication
- Social media pages
Thank you for your patience as we worked to resolve this email issue with our vendor partner.
