Veterans Day Breakfast Fundraiser
Cookie Dough Sale - WEB Fundraiser
We will kick off on Wednesday the 10th during homeroom and lunch. Nicole will be here from Great American to do the presentation during the first 10 minutes of homeroom and then while the kids eat a video will be shown.
There are several kinds of cookie dough for sale at $20 a tub.
The sale runs from the 10th to the 24th of October and kids have the opportunity to earn "space" themed prizes. There is a $100 prize for the top seller in each grade.
Power to the Sixth
“Power to the Sixth” (P6) is an after-school program at held at MVMS on Wednesdays and will start on October 17. The program is for sixth-grade students and was started 16 years ago. The program meets in the commons area at 2:35 pm and lasts until 4:00 pm when school is in session. We appreciate the efforts of OSU Extension staff, 4-H volunteers, Kenyon College students from the Gund Gallery, social work students from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, New Directions staff members and other community volunteers involved in the program.
The efforts are directed towards facilitating activities for the sixth-grade students who voluntarily attend in order to become more aware of their personal strengths and those of their peers. Positive initiatives are offered (Art, STEM, crafts, team building, exploration, social skills, decision-making, life skill development) in order to connect the participants with their community. Community volunteers provide instruction during given sessions.
At the present time P6 is scheduled for:
October 17, 24, 31
November 14,28
December 5, 12, 19
