April 9th Field Trip Information In Backpacks Monday!

We are looking for a few volunteers to lead a group. If you are interested, please let me know.

Fun Fair Pool Basket Items Needed

Our class in charge of putting together a "pool themed" basket to raffle off during Meadow Lane's Fun Fair in April. Some item ideas include: beach towels, pool toys, pool snacks, Sonic gift cards (for slushies or shakes after a day in the sun), ....anything you can think of that would fit into our Pool Party basket. Thank you so much to those who have already sent in their donations!

Hero Bottle Buddy Project-Due April 16th

As a culminating project in our hero unit, students will be researching a hero (based on the reading material we have here at school), will be writing an informational piece at school, and will be presenting their hero to the class. Students will also be asked to create a "Bottle Buddy" at home. A bottle buddy is a model of their hero that will be used during their presentation and will be on display during our Education Celebration on April 22.


Instructions and a rubric will be sent home Wednesday in backpacks.

Writing-Homework Excuse project-Refining the organization of our writing. Focusing on introduction, interesting details in an order that makes sense, using transitional words, and writing a strong conclusion that wraps up the piece.


Social Studies-We will be starting our Hero Project. (See separate section for more details.)


Math-We are currently working on Topic 13-Money. In this topic students learn to identify coins, count coins, and to show a certain amount in a multiple of ways. I am hoping to post test on Friday.
