UBMS Weekly Update
February 12, 2016
2015-2016 THEME: "HAVE THE COURAGE TO SUCCEED!"
This Week's "UB Special" Award!
This week's "UB Special" award recipient is MALINA VANG!
Malina's grades are amazing and her attendance at required UBMS is impressive too! She missed one event recently but was THE ONLY student to do the make-up assignment! Nice job! She is the oldest of seven siblings and is a great help to her family as well as a true asset to our program. She is consistently timely in her communication to UBMS staff and asks appropriate, clarifying questions. She often starts her emails to us with a "Hi, How are you?", which we just love. She has a great heart and we appreciate the positive attitude that she brings to our program. Please join us in congratulating Malina for being the recipient of this week's UB Special Award!
National TRIO Day 2016
Come early for snacks and refreshments. Dress nice or at least wear a UBMS shirt if you have one.
We're excited to have former congressman, Thomas Petri, as our guest speaker. We will also be hearing stories by past and former TRIO students demonstrating how TRIO has worked for them. We're welcoming back Aracely Torres, 2014 UBMS alum!
Parents are also invited. If you haven't yet, please let Tracy know if you will be coming or not.
