A message from the Principal

Dear Paloma Families,

The weather these last few days has certainly been a glimpse of summer! And as we consider summer...we also consider what comes after school year.

As I'm sure you read in the Community Update from Superintendent Dr. Jodi McClay, we are expecting to open in the fall as usual, pending health and safety guidelines. This is so exciting to consider and plan for. We can't wait to learn all together again safely on campus! Registration is taking place NOW. You can find more information here:

Are you interested in continuing online learning or independent study for next school year? You can find out about TVUSD's Innovation Academy/Home Instead program here:

Registration for TK and Kindergarten for next year is underway! If you or someone you know has a child that will be in TK or Kinder next year, please let them know they can register NOW.

You can use this link to find the information on the district website.

As always, we welcome your questions or concerns. Please reach out by calling the school, visiting the virtual help desk (details found below), or emailing us. We are happy to help.

Have a great weekend!

Daily Health Screening

Quick reminder ~ If your student attends school On-Campus, they need to complete the Health Screening each day prior to coming on campus. An email is sent each morning to the students' school email. While we know this is another step to complete during the already busy mornings, it is a requirement for In-Person Learning and is part of the district Pandemic Re-Opening Plan that all students and staff complete the questionnaire and certify that they are cleared to be On-Campus each day they are scheduled to be on-campus. Thank you for your help with ensuring that our students and staff have a safe and healthy environment on-campus!

Motorized Scooters

Our School Resource Officer shared that she has seen an increase in the number of motorized scooters in the community and has helped us to get the word out regarding the laws that pertain to them.

Most notably is the law that states that children under 16 years of age cannot operate a motorized scooter. See the below links for more details.

Dropping Off in the Front and Side Loops

Drop-off and pick-up routines are going well. Our students know where to go and how to get to their classrooms and are doing a great job navigating the campus.

We do ask that if your child needs assistance getting in or out of the car that you park in the lot and walk your student to campus. Please do not get out of your vehicle during drop-off or pick-up as this impedes the flow of traffic. Thank you for your help with this matter.

iReady support for families

As you know, our students use iReady to support their personalized learning. We have some resources for our families to support learners with iReady. There are reference sheets, suggestions for parents, and more. Take a look! :)

We think you will find these resources to be helpful!

Pets on Campus

Families, a quick reminder that pets are not permitted on campus. We know that it may be convenient to walk or carry your pet when you come to pick up or drop off your student, however, pets are not permitted on school grounds. Service animals trained to perform work or tasks directly related to the individual’s disability are welcome onTVUSD campuses. Pets and other animals are not allowed to campus at any time. Thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter.
