To better serve instructional purposes, the Early Dismissal Day on November 9 has been moved to November 16. P/T Conferences for Gr 6-12 and PD for staff in Gr K-5 will now be on November 16. You can see the revised School Year calendar here.
SEPAC Meeting
Please join SEPAC for an IN PERSON open house/meeting on October 17 at 6:30 p.m. This gathering will be held at Cunningham Hall and is a great opportunity to learn more about SEPAC, meet the SEPAC board, and find out how you can become more involved.
Child care will be available, and refreshments will be provided. Contact Jennie Mulqueen at jenniemulqueen@gmail.com or Jenny Sheehan at jennycsheehan@gmail.com with any questions.
MHS Clubs and Athletics!
We encourage all of our students to be active members of our MHS community. One of the ways to do this is to be involved in a club or sport at MHS. This is just a sampling of some of the things we have to offer. You can always refer to our Daily Bulletin for meeting times and locations for any clubs at MHS! As our clubs start to get up and running we will be collecting user fees, please watch for more information to come on where you can pay. User fees are $25 per club with a cap of $50 per student per year limit.
There truly is something fun for everyone!
Student Shout Out!
I would like to recognize the amazing work Reilly Bergin (gr 11) does with Project 351. She has been involved in this organization since middle school. She shares the following reflection of work that she and Adam Cheairs (gr 9) did on September 11th in Boston.
In Boston on September 11th, Adam and I along with more than 300 Project 351 Ambassadors, Alumni, 9.11 families, bereaved families of the Fallen, and volunteers united to honor and remember. Our day began with the National Moment of Peaceful Remembrance at 8:46 am, followed by the recitation of the names of the 206 local victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Each name spoken with love and a message of strength for their families.
And then service in support of the Mass Military Heroes Fund began! More than 1,100 care packages were packed with items such as shampoo, toothbrushes, snacks, cards, hand warmers, a notebook, etc, and messages of gratitude for local troops serving abroad and veterans in the care of the New England Home and Center for Veterans and Home Base.
In addition, we organized a project to express gratitude to our local first responders in commemoration of 9.11. Members of our community, special shoutout to Glover Elementary, made 138 cards and artwork of appreciation that were delivered to the Milton Fire Department, Milton Hospital, and Milton Police Department along with care packages with items purchased with generous donations from our community members. Thank you to everyone who made an impact on this project!
