The Innocent

When in doubt, think positively.
The innocent is generally optimistic about life and thinks that nothing is impossible; however, they may deny themselves a chance to be heroic out of fear, and fear being abandoned by those who they depend on.
The Hobbits
The Hobbits are inexperienced and are asked to go on a quest. They depend on the other members of their party to defend them when they are unable to defend themselves.
Scott Pilgrim
Scott is a Naive young Canadian who gets pushed into a series of intense brawls in order to court Ramona Flowers. He depends heavily on his friends and fears abandonment from Ramona, and at times lets his fear stand between him and a heroic action.
Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump is a young man who lives through American events in the late twentieth century. He fears abandonment from his mother, Jenny and the other people that he meets throughout his life. While he is at times scared, his heroic actions shine through and positively effect the lives of those around him.

In this scene, Forrest runs from a Vietnam engagement when he is scared, but he takes advantage of a heroic opportunity to run back into the jungle and rescue his comrades.
Snow White eats the poison apple
In this scene, the innocent and gullible Snow White indulges in an apple that was laced with poison by an evil witch.
