Attendance
Attendance has a direct correlation to student success. If you miss a high school class for an excusable reason, parents/guardians must call or email Mrs. Andrews to clear the absence: (661) 722-6509 / jandrews@avhsd.org and follow up with your teachers for assignments. Students should follow up directly with college instructors in the case of an absence. Although we are not on campus, we are still responsible for record keeping. Please make attending both your high school and college classes a priority!
We Need Photos for Yearbook!
Yearbook is actively posting ideas for Yearbook photos in the Class Google Classrooms. Please take just a few minutes to ensure you're contributing to SOAR's memories by uploading your photos directly to this link: https://images.jostens.com/upload.jsp
Again, if you are curious about what types of photos Yearbooks is looking for, please refer to your Class Google Classroom, contact a representative from Yearbook, or contact Mrs. Jefferson (sjefferson@avhsd.org).
Tutoring/Additional Supports
Remember, SOAR students have access to all AVC resources as well. For information on how to get connected with AVC's Learning Center for additional support, visit AVC's website.
