Happy Thanksgiving to all our families! We look forward to a strong finish leading into Winter Break; we will have finals on 12/19 & 12/20. If your student has outstanding homework, please encourage them to use the break to get caught up and raise their grades. See below for upcoming J-Term forecasting and many essential announcements. ASB: We are putting together a club and community night that will take place December 7th with activity and fundraising booths hosted by our school clubs! Also, SHS should be on the lookout for some dynamic “Falliday theme days” coming our way on Fridays between Thanksgiving and our December holiday break.
Seniors: Class president, Reagan Witt, has been hard at work organizing volunteers, warm drinks and baked goods to serve at the senior center's weekly BINGO night! We’ll be partnering with the NHS for a fun evening with our senior community on 12/5. Other class officers; Gabby Hanke, Adi Stoddard, and Skylar Grover, have been working on the school's "Teacher of the Month'' board and student surveys, seeking meaningful feedback for Monday Meetings and Spirit Days.
Juniors: The juniors are putting together a Winter Holiday Movie Night in the gym with refreshments for our community that will be held January 18th! All-ages welcome! Vote for the holiday movie HERE
Sophomores: Sophomores are continuing to work on Winter Ball plans. Winter Ball is on Saturday, January 21st! Mark your calendar!
Community Leadership, with the assistance of Advanced Leadership, organized our turkey basket drive during 3rd-period classes and wrapped up collecting Thursday, November 17th. The class who completed the most baskets will earn a pizza party, to be announced at our Monday Meeting on the 28th. Thank you to everyone who donated and Happy Thanksgiving!

*There have been some issues with the FAFSA website. It has been hit or miss for the past week. Hopefully, the site will be more stable in the coming weeks. Additionally, the FSA ID process is taking a bit longer this year, likely due to the new two-factor authentication. Students/Families should still try to obtain their FSA ID prior to completing the FAFSA/ORSA.

It’s never too early to get started on scholarships. Check out the Scholarships Video on our Counseling Website for some good information on how to get the process started.
