Join the Bowman community for a fun-filled Movie Night hosted by the 5th Grade Class of 2023. Reservations include movie entrance and popcorn. Pizza can be pre-ordered until Mon, Nov 14. Candy and raffle tickets will be available for purchase on the night of the event! Once a month we gather in our gymnasium for an “All School Meeting''. The purpose of these meetings is to reinforce our sense of community, celebrate our children, and have fun! Fifth grade student volunteers along with Mr. Starr, Mrs. Uzenski and I are responsible for creating the content. The students assume the leadership roles and serve as Emcees. This year, we are adding a new feature to our meeting routine. During a portion of our meeting, students are invited to share a talent, hobby, or extracurricular activity. The "share" could be something related to one’s culture, heritage or identity; it could be something that is/was developed with formal training and/or lessons or not; and could be a solo performance or include others. If your child(ren) is interested in being featured, please assist them in filling out this form so that we can plan accordingly. We welcome and look forward to seeing the amazing things our kiddos can do!

Parent/Caregiver conferences are Thursday, November 3rd and Friday, November 4th. Students will be dismissed - all four days at 12:30. Kidsborough will be available when students get dismissed.

Nature's Classroom Field Trip

In the next few days, your child will bring home information regarding “Nature's Classroom” which is an overnight, environmental camping experience. Our trip is scheduled for Monday, May 22nd - Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 in Charlton, MA. To learn more about the trip, fifth grade students and their parents/caregivers are invited to attend an in person presentation given by a Nature’s Classroom representative on Tuesday, November 8th from 7-8PM.

Decoration Making for 5th Grade Movie Night

Fifth grade students are invited to come to Bowman from 6-7PM on Tuesday, November 8th (right before the Nature's Classroom presentation) to help make decorations that will be used on Movie Night. Students DO NOT need a parent/caregiver to accompany them and no advanced sign up required. Ms. Corduck & Movie Night parent volunteers will be present to supervise and assist.

5th Grade Yearbook

We are seeking (a) parent/caregiver volunteer(s) to help put together the "Fifth Grade Yearbook". If you are interested in learning more, please email Jackie Anderson (jaclyn.anderson@gmail.com) and Lakshmi Ramanath (rajalakshmi.ramanath@gmail.com). Please note that if we do not get any volunteers, we will not be able to provide a yearbook this year.
